EU Conference eLearning Lisboa 2007
Next October,15th-16th the European eLearningLisboa2007 conference will take place in Lisbon (Portugal).
The event will focus on the role of the information and communication technologies for promoting social inclusion and lifelong learning in the framework of the Lisbon strategy for growth and employment.
The conference areas of interest are:
* Digital and Social Cohesion;
* Re-skilling for the Knowledge Society;
* eLearning Value.
The Portuguese EQUAL Initiative will support the EU eLearning Conference with a session specially dedicated to presenting good examples of how ICT can be used to favour professional and social inclusion.

Meeting with Wenger and European EQUAL CoPs Lisbon,17th October
Dear Colleagues: In the context of the Portuguese Presidency of the EU, the European eLearningLisbon2007 Conference will be held on the 15th and 16th October, in the Lisbon Congress Centre.
The conference will focus on digital and social cohesion, re-skilling for the knowledge society and the value of eLearning. Etienne Wenger, a recognized thought tleader of communities of practice, will lead two sessions during the conference: on 15th October at 17h15 on “Informal learning” and on 16th October at 11h30 on “Learning communities”.
Taking this opportunity of Etienne Wenger’s presence in Portugal, EQUAL Portugal will organize a specific session with Wenger and members of the EQUAL CoPs at European level. In this session we will have the opportunity to share the experiences, problems and solutions that we are facing in our CoPs and receive specific support.
This meeting could be an important opportunity for learning together, to strengthen links and develop trust (community), to share stories about our CoPs (practice) and to create a common identity at a European level (domain).
I would be very pleased if you could participate in this special session with Etienne Wenger, that will be held the 17th Ocober at 9h30 a.m.

The participation will be free, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by you.
