To start

It is a pleasure to have a space in which to share with other pratictioners my experiences in applying PCM. As a facilitator I started to use GOPP and PCM about 5 years ago. In those years I have applyed GOPP and LFA approach in a variety of different contexts (project identification, project design and management, training, ex ante and ex post evaluation of projects and programmes). What I really like of this set of tools is:

  1. What I call their marketing perspective - they invite project managers to focus first on beneficiaries needs;
  2. Their ability to create a learning environment in which a group of people can improve its (mutual) understanding of the situation in which it is are going to operate.

According to me these two aspects are very important in a world that is moving faster and faster, and in which things are continuously changing. In fact , by helping people to monitoring and understand those transformations, tools like LFA and PCM can help partnerships to fine tune their work.
